The Association of Social Work Educators of Nigeria (ASWEN) is a forum for social work educators and institutional representatives to meet, discuss and find solutions to common problems facing the Nigerian social work education sector.

The aims and objectives of the association are:

1. To bring together all social work educators in Nigeria
2. To provide a forum where academics in social work shall come together to investigate social problems
3. To be a forum to design and implement programmes that would reduce, resolve or eradicate social problems
4. To raise funds and receive contribution, donations, grants where appropriate to finance social work
5. To organise meetings, training courses and events in furtherance of its aims and objectives
